BETSY RICH NAMED DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Hy-Line Cruises is happy to announce Betsy Rich has taken over full responsibilities as the Director of Marketing for Hyannis Harbor Tours, Inc. (dba: Hy-Line Cruises).  Philip Scudder, a Managing Partner of the Company with his brother, Murray, had held this title since the late 1980’s when he took over for his wife, Sherrie.  Philip explains, “Marketing and promoting a family business is somewhat unique in that consideration must always be taken as to how it may personally reflect upon the owners in the community.”

Ms. Rich looks forward to the opportunity.  “I’m excited to bring this department to a new level of marketing, utilizing new technologies for promotion, brand reputation, customer engagement, communications, and community.  “I’ve worked here more than half of my life and I am so ready!”

Rich has been with the Company for more than 25 years and has worked closely with Philip and his family in the Marketing Department for most of that time.  “She is very bright, creative, and talented but most importantly, she understands how our family wants to continue to build this business and brand,” Scudder said.  “We’re very comfortable having Betsy take on these responsibilities.”

Hy-Line Cruises’ parent company is Hyannis Harbor Tours Inc., a privately held ferry/cruise operation founded in 1962. The company currently employs approximately 120 persons year-round.  In the high season, total employment has reached 350.
