Do You Believe? THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride Returns to
Cape Cod Central Railroad in Buzzards Bay, MA!

Tickets Now Available for a Magical Experience at the Cape Cod Central Railroad
BUZZARDS BAY, MA – With the holidays quickly approaching, the Cape Cod Central Railroad is celebrating the return of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride! This immersive family-oriented experience hosted over 1.4 million riders at 54 locations in the US, Canada, and the UK in 2019. Popular dates and times are expected to fill quickly, but seats are now available for departures beginning November 27th and continuing through December 23rd. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.capetrain.com/rides/the-polar-express-train-ride/ and guests are encouraged to book soon as this beloved holiday tradition is expected to sell out.
The adventure comes to life when the train departs for a round-trip journey to the North Pole led by a cast of talented actors. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a 1 – 1 ½ roundtrip to meet Santa. Once on board, the conductor will work his way through the coach and punch golden tickets before hot chocolate and a delicious cookie are served by dancing chefs. Passengers then read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers board the train to greet passengers and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas. During the trip, characters on each car lead fantastic onboard entertainment – just like in the film! Each guest will take home a keepsake sleigh bell and souvenir golden ticket in addition to the wonderful memories made on this magical trip. Just like the kids in the book, families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!
Please rest assured that all required COVID-19 safety protocols will be met. Governor Baker issued an Order that went into effect on May 6 requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This applies to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Please note that this and other guidelines may change depending on what the current orders are on the date of departure. For this season, seating will not be “traditional railroad style” for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride. This means that parties will not be seated at the same table with other parties, unless they have specifically requested to sit together. As an extra precaution, Cape Cod Central Railroad has made an investment in a CDC-compliant air and surface sanitation system that is being used to sanitize the train at regular intervals. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the facilities.
Exact dates, times, and fares are available by visiting https://www.capetrain.com/rides/the-polar-express-train-ride/. Ticket prices range from $39 to $99, depending on the date and time of the ride. Discounts are available for groups of 25+, active military, and first responders. Please call for more information. On select dates reduced price, daylight matinée trips will offer an opportunity for those with small children to enjoy an earlier departure.
Credentialed press members and influencers covering the event are welcome to complimentary tickets during opening night. Please contact Kaylene Jablecki at kaylene@capetrain.com to reserve tickets if you qualify.
