Wall Raising Ceremonies for Habitat Cape Cod’s Builds in Brewster and Falmouth – Public Welcome
BREWSTER AND FALMOUTH, MA – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod will host two Wall Raising Ceremonies for its upcoming builds in Brewster and Falmouth. The public is invited to watch as the walls are raised and the journey to homeownership begins for six local families.
The Mackie Drive, Brewster Wall Raising Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, at 8 AM. Event goers can park at the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church, 3600 Main Street (Route 6A), in Brewster, and it is a short walk across Route 6A to the build site.
The Gifford Street Extension, Falmouth Wall Raising Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, at 8 AM. Parking is available at the Falmouth ReStore, 805 Gifford Street Extension, in Falmouth. The build site is located behind the Falmouth ReStore.
The homebuyers were selected via blind drawing from a pool of qualified applicants. Habitat homeowners are Cape Cod’s postal workers, chefs, landscapers, teachers' aides, and more. In this round of selected homebuyers, coincidentally, every household has at least one adult in the healthcare field.
Both ceremonies will begin promptly at 8 AM and are open to the public. For more information, please contact Sandra Harrison, Volunteer & Community Relations Manager, at 508-362-3559 ext. 128 or sandra@habitatcapecod.org.
