CALENDAR FEBRUARY 2026 AT THORNTON BURGESS SOCIETY'S GREEN BRIAR NATURE CENTER AND JAM KITCHEN

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14

Valentine’s Story Time, 11am-2pm.  Drop in anytime to enjoy tales of Peter Rabbit and friends and then make ladybug themed crafts and “bird-oculars to take home. Members free, non-members $5 payable at the door.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Green Meadow Forest & Live Menagerie, 10am-3pm.  Explore the storybook world of Peter Rabbit, Grandfather Frog, Reddy Fox and others from the stories of the renowned children’s author and naturalist, Thornton W. Ramble through the Bramble, 9:30am-11:30am.  Take the family for a wander through the nature center’s trails led by Naturalist & Storyteller Stu Parsons.  Then head inside for stories, crafts and a warm snack.  Appropriate for ages 5-10 with an adult. Amazing Animal Ambassadors. 10:30am.  Cape Cod wildlife care expert Bethany Boucher introduces some of her favorite birds, mammals and reptiles. Family Jam Class, 10am-12:30pm.  Adult and child work together in the historic kitchen to make 4-6 jars of strawberry raspberry jam to take home and enjoy. Instruction and all materials are provided.  Children must be at least age 6.  Fee is $80 members, $90 non-members and includes one adult and one child per pot.  Paid advance registration required by calling 508-888-6870.  Space is limited.
