Taste of our Town Returns
“Taste of Our Towns” is back for its third year of food and fun for a great cause! It’s time to plan an evening with the south coast’s favorite restaurant and food vendors as they present choice selections of featured dishes for all to enjoy, all to support Turning Point of Wareham and its programs helping those in need on the south coast. Featured restaurants this year include Mezza Luna, Charlie’s Place, Narrows Crossing, Turk’s Seafood, Costa’s Kitchen, Oxford Creamery, Shipyard Galley, Ella’s Wood Burning Oven, Uncle Jon’s Coffee, Adobo Republic, GLO Barbecue, Stomping Grounds Grille, Towne Tavern, Quahog Republic and Wareham House of Pizza.
The Wareham/New Bedford Elks Lodge is once again a major contributing sponsor, donating the venue which is ideal for this occasion according to event co-chairs Ann Condon and Janet Kelly. “It has the space, the lounge, stage and a lot of outlets we can plug in to keep the “tastes” warm for our guests,” smiles Condon.
WACH President Chuck McCullough recognizes Cranberry Federal Credit Union as a strong partner of Turning Point who has stepped forward as a Platinum Sponsor of Turning Point activities. Other event sponsors include NYE Lubricants Inc., Café Soleil, Kool Kone, Warren’s Harborview, Krua Thai, Rockland Trust, and Towne Tavern.
This event has become a signature fundraiser for Turning Point, combining tasty nourishment with a positive neighborly spin for our south coast residents, comments Turning Point Executive Director Shirley Santos. “It’s nurturing and supportive- and fun!”
Tickets to purchase a taste will be sold at the door, there will once again be raffles, a cash bar and marvelous music – so mark your calendar TODAY for Monday, September 15 and enjoy a fun and delicious evening to support your neighbors!
