Cape & Islands United Way (CIUW) will host a comedy benefit event on May 1, 2025, at the Chatham Orpheum Theater. Tickets are $50 per person, with all proceeds supporting Cape Cod’s hunger relief efforts, including local food pantries and school programming. Visit https://www.capeandislandsuw.org/comedy-for-a-cause to learn more and purchase tickets. The event’s featured comedians include Paul Nardizzi, Dave Rattigan, and Jim Ruberti. Nardizzi is one of the country's top comedians, with multiple standup appearances on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central, and Fox Sports' Best Damn Sports Show Period, as well as regional appearances on NESN. Known for his deadpan delivery and quick, dry wit, Rattigan is one of the busiest comics in Boston and has opened for The Beach Boys, Jeff Dunham, and Nick DiPaolo. Ruberti is a Boston comedian and actor featured by the biggest comics in New England, including Lenny Clarke and Steve Sweeney. Full comic bios are available at https://www.capeandislandsuw.org/comedy-for-a-cause. “Laughter has the power to bring people together, and with Comedy for a Cause, it’s also helping put food on the table for our neighbors in need,” said Mark Skala, President & Chief Executive Officer of CIUW. “Right now, many of the food security programs our community relies on are facing the threat of defunding. Every dollar raised through this event will go directly toward keeping these vital programs running. No one on Cape Cod or the Islands should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.” Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
