Cape & Islands United Way Announces 2024 Grant Recipients CIUW provides critical funding to local nonprofits focused on key areas of need

Cape & Islands United Way (CIUW), a nonprofit organization on a mission to improve
lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities to advance the common good on Cape
Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, recently announced its 2024-2025 Community Impact Grant
recipients at an awards ceremony at The West End in Hyannis. 29 area nonprofits received grants to
fund programming and initiatives in areas of key need for the Cape & Islands community, including
housing, economic instability, women and children, health, and education.
This year’s grant recipients included A Baby Center, Behavior Health Innovators, Belong to Each
Other, Big Brothers Big Sistres of Cape Cod & the Islands, Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, Boys and
Girls Club of Martha’s Vineyard, Calmer Choice, Cape Cod Children’s Place, Cape Kid Meals,
Champ Homes, Community Health Center of Cape Cod, Duffy Health Center, EforAll Cape Cod,
Food 4 Kids, Harbor Homes, Health Imperatives, Homeless Prevention Council, Hospice & Palliative
Care of Martha’s Vineyard, Housing Assistance, Independence House, Island Grown Initiative, Lower
Cape Outreach Council, Nantucket Interfaith Council, Sassafras Earth Education, Sustainable Cape
Farmer’s Market, The Family Pantry of Cape Cod, Tommy’s Place, and WE CAN & Amplify POC. To

CIUW’s vision is for a community that collaborates, integrates, and innovates to create a highly
effective regional delivery system of human services to best meet the needs of our residents. By
providing grant funding to community partners, CIUW is able to advance local programs that meet
the critical needs of those living on Cape Cod and the Islands.
The annual Grant Reception brought together nonprofit leaders to network and celebrate each
organization’s successes. “We had a lovely time talking with others, learning about the missions and
programs of the chosen nonprofits, and connecting with the people behind the work of the United
Way,” said Francie Randolph, Ed.M. of Sustainable Cape Cod.
