Highfield Hall & Gardens presents Hounds of Highfield Sunday, June 25, 2023 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Calling all dogs, dog owners, and food lovers! Highfield Hall & Gardens is hosting its 2nd Annual Hounds of Highfield.

Please join Highfield Hall & Gardens on the grounds Sunday, June 25, from 11 AM to 2 PM as we celebrate our ever-loving canine companions! This outdoor family event honors the joy that dogs bring into our lives. Come and enjoy a tail-waggin’ afternoon as you meet other four-legged friends, fellow doggie enthusiasts, and local animal organizations.

From our fun costume parade contest to our hysterical agility course competition, Hounds of Highfield has something for everyone. This year we are featuring vendors such as Cape Cod’s own Green Road Refill and Falmouth food truck, The Filling Station. Receive a “blessing of the animals” from Reverend Nell Fields of Waquoit Congregational Church and sit back on the lawn, listening to local musician Michael Oakland. A memorable day is planned at beautiful Highfield Hall for you.

Lisa Walker, Co-Executive Director states, “Highfield is the perfect location for such an event, our grounds are the public gardens of Falmouth, and we enjoy watching all the dog walkers visit daily.  We are so pleased to open Highfield Hall & Gardens to the community!”

About Highfield Hall & Gardens

The house is a rare surviving example of transitional Stick Style architecture, containing beautiful gardens located in the heart of Falmouth, Massachusetts. It is a unique combination of a historic house, expansive gardens and trails, and a vibrant cultural center. Built in 1878 as the summer home for Boston's Beebe family, the house sits on 5.5 pristine acres surrounded by nearly 400 acres of conservation land and public walking trails. Highfield Hall & Gardens is not your typical historic estate. It is an example of a historic building saved by grassroots community organizing. An effort of tenacity and vision that continues as new research on the structure and its story of the people who lived here add to the building's significance. It offers world-class music, international art exhibitions, culinary classes, family programs, and year- round special events.
