Cape Symphony

Dear Friends,

After 16 years of inspiring audiences and leading the Cape Symphony to new heights, Artistic Director and Conductor Jung-Ho Pak has announced that he will be stepping down from his position at the end of the summer.

Under Jung-Ho's leadership, the Cape Symphony has become one of the most respected orchestras in the region, presenting an innovative and engaging repertoire that has earned praise from audiences and critics alike. He has also been instrumental in building the orchestra's education programs, introducing thousands of young people to the joys of classical music.

We are deeply grateful to Jung-Ho for his outstanding leadership of the Cape Symphony over the past 16 years. He has been an inspiration to all of us, and we wish him all the best.

At the same time, we are excited to begin the search for a new conductor who will lead the Cape Symphony into the future. The Board of Trustees of the Cape Symphony has already begun the search for a dynamic and visionary leader who will continue to build on the orchestra's success and bring new ideas and energy to the organization.

The Cape Symphony will present an exciting and diverse program of concerts, conducted by Jung-Ho, throughout the summer, honoring his contributions to the orchestra. The Board of Trustees expects to engage a series of talented guest conductors throughout the 2023/24 season and announce a new conductor in spring 2024.

Thank you for your continued support of the Cape Symphony.

Warm regards,
