Protect Our Past – Virtual Silent Auction Fundraiser announcement

Chatham based Protect Our Past is holding its first virtual silent auction called Raise Your Paddles for POP from June 17 - 24 to raise money to support its mission to preserve historic properties on Cape Cod and the Islands through media education and advocacy. All of the auction items are experiential and most have a connection to local history. They include dining and hotel stays, walking tours, museum tours and memberships, boat rides, plane rides, readings by authors and more. The items are largely Cape and Islands based with a few extending to the South Coast and Newport.
According to POP’s founder, Ellen Briggs, “As the Loudspeakers for Historic Preservation, we create media – short films, virtual petitions, social media campaigns, and more – to help homeowners and historic preservation groups bring about effective action in their communities. The funds we raise through the auction will support those endeavors.”
