Highfield Hall & Gardens Scavenger Hunt during April Vacation |
|
Highfield Hall & Gardens is excited to invite families of the surrounding communities to search throughout the Highfield grounds during April vacation for listed items and receive a gift upon completion of finding the listed items.
Highfield staff, working with educators have developed lists based upon age groups so all ages are able to join the fun from five (5) years old to fourteen (14). Items range from ‘something with veins’ to a ‘puddle of water’. The activity allows for participants to either collect an item or cross it off the list. The finder’s gift is something that can be enjoyed for months to come. You will have to come to Highfield to find out what the gift is!!
This fun-filled activity will allow for children of all ages to experience the Highfield setting and enjoy the serenity and simplicity of the surroundings. Families are encouraged to picnic on the grounds before or after the hunt and take advantage of Beebe Woods and extend your day at Highfield.
Although the Highfield Hall & Garden grounds are open daily, you must come during the open Gallery hours if you wish to participate. This activity is free of charge.
Gallery Hours:
Highfield Hall will follow health safety protocols by restricting the number of people in the gallery at one time.

About Highfield Hall & Gardens
The house is a rare surviving example of transitional Stick Style architecture, containing beautiful gardens located in the heart of Falmouth, Massachusetts. It is a unique combination of a historic house, expansive gardens and trails, and a vibrant cultural center. Built in 1878 as the summer home for Boston's Beebe family, the house sits on 5.5 pristine acres surrounded by nearly 400 acres of conservation land and public walking trails. Highfield Hall & Gardens is not your typical historic estate. It is an example of a historic building saved by grassroots community organizing. An effort of tenacity and vision that continues as new research on the structure and its story of the people who lived here add to the building’s significance. It offers world-class music, international art exhibitions, culinary classes, family programs, and year-round special events.
