WEEK TWO OF DIGITAL CLOC

The College Light Opera Company (CLOC) had an exciting first week of Digital CLOC, their 2020 virtual season. Digital CLOC runs from June 30th to August 30th and consists of nine different shows. Each of these shows premieres new episodes every week on the CLOC Facebook Page. Once the episode has premiered, it is available via Facebook or the company’s website (www.collegelightoperacompany.com) for viewing access at any time.

This week, the company is bringing in director Jacob Allen to talk about how the musical My Fair Lady came to be during On the CLOC , Tuesday the 7th at 5:30pm. Then later that night at 8:00pm, you can catch our Vocal Company members in Main Stage where you’ll get a sneak peek into their workshop with CLOC Director Robert Schneider and hear some amazing performances.

On Wednesday the 8th at 10:00am, join our Production Manager and Technical Director Kristin Knutson for Behind the Scenes with Kristin where you’ll be given a tour of the West Falmouth Inn - the place where the company lives, eats and breathes every summer!. Later that night at 8:00pm, tune in for Back Stage with our Design and Production students. This week they worked on designing backdrops, costumes, and characters for a puppet show!

Get ready to move Thursday July 9th at 10:00am for Dance Around the CLOC with our very own choreographer, Cailtin Belcik! She’ll be teaching the basic steps you need to know for any musical and about the original West Side Story choreographer, Jerome Robbins. Afterwards at 5:30pm, sit back and relax with CLOC Alum Laura Lydia Paruzynski and Ian C. Weber during CLOC-Tails. Share a drink while they sing a few songs and tell a few “tails”.

Friday July 10th at 8:00PM, CLOC’s beloved behind-the-scenes talks continue with Off the CLOC. This week the company brings in Stage Director David Ward, Music Director David Weiller and Music Director Valerie Gebert to talk about their process. Then on Saturday the 11th at 8:00pm, tune in for CLOC-Werk where students were asked to create projects about movies based on musicals, musicals based on movies or work based on plays. You can end your week Sunday the 12th at 4:00pm with our Orchestra during Second Stage. For the second episode, the Orchestra gives audiences a sneak preview of their workshop with CLOC Conductor Jonathan Brennand, as well as small performances. Tune in for this exciting week on www.facebook.com/collegelightoperacompany
