Will Rubenstein Joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands |

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands is pleased to welcome Will Rubenstein as their Community Engagement & Recruitment Coordinator, a newly implemented position as part of the agency’s strategic growth plan.
“Will comes to us very well-known and respected in the Cape non-profit community,” said JR Mell, Regional Director for BBBS. “Being in the second phase of our strategic growth plan, we need to focus on growing our pipelines & partnerships for volunteer recruitment. I have no doubt that Will’s enthusiasm and passion for our mission will help to meet these goals and allow us to serve more kids throughout the Cape & Islands.”
Will, a graduate of Ithaca College, is also co-owner of Camp Wingate*Kirkland with his wife Sandy. Camp W*K is a day and overnight summer camp and outdoor education center in Yarmouth Port, MA. He lives there year-round with two daughters, two four-legged children, one Teacup Pig and 14 hens. Will became a Big Brother for the first time in 1997 while working at the JCC in his native Baltimore. He’s had a second match for nearly four years on Cape Cod. Will started Reboot Game Lab one year ago to bring screen-free games and events to all Cape Codder. He is a former board member of CCYP, Leadership Cape Cod, Cape Cod Child Development, and Massachusetts Camping Association, as well as a former Recreation Commissioner for The Town of Yarmouth.
“There are only a handful of organizations on Cape Cod and the Islands that make an impact on families like BBBSCCI,” noted Rubenstein. “I am proud to add my energy and decades of youth development experience to the team. Together, we will transform future generations of Cape Codders, and enhance Cape Cod and the Islands as a healthier and happier community to live and work.”
