Highfield Hall & Gardens presents Strong, Sweet, and Dry! A Special Supper Club Event Thursday, August 25th 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

): Highfield Hall & Gardens is pleased to announce a special supper club featuring Becky Sue Epstein, international renowned author, and wine expert.

Enjoy a special Highfield Hall Supper Club with an array of slightly “stronger” wines, paired with an exceptional meal provided by Eat Your Heart Out. Start your evening sipping a Vermouth cocktail and finish with Port paired with desserts. Other tastings will include Sherry, Marsala, and Madeira. Their complex flavors have much to offer as a standalone aperitif or in a new cocktail. Tickle your palate and learn fascinating wine history during this unique dinner event.

Today, many fortified wines are flourishing again, revived by discerning drinkers and modern mixologists all over the world. Take a historical tour of these wines, as they’ve pleased the palates of royalty for centuries and inspired cocktail creations around the world. Ms. Epstein’s recent book, Strong, Sweet & Dry. is the ultimate guided to these newly rediscovered wines, now finding their way into wine bars, better restaurants, and homes! Learn about the latest trends and stories of the warriors and kings who helped create these wines. Wine and spirits expert Becky Sue Epstein is an experienced editor, broadcaster and consultant in the fields of wine, spirits, food and travel.
